I was transcribing the marriage registers for Fletton, Huntingdonshire recently and came across two intriguing entries.
On 6th September 1902 John Fossey married Emma Sawthorp/Gawthrop. Both their residences at the time of their marriage was 15 Park Street, Fletton.
On the next day, the 7th September 1902, their neighbours got married. Thomas Beighton married Ethel Aistrup and their residence at the time of their marriage was 14 Park Street, Fletton.
Was this just a co-incidence? maybe, more research is required.
Whatever the circumstances Park Street certainly had something to celebrate that weekend.
