Through a complete range of Research services, the aim of Genealogy Lantern is to help you illuminate your past using sources such as birth, marriage and death certificates, photographs, newspaper reports, military records and census records.

Based in Yaxley, near Peterborough, Cambridgeshire I am ideally placed to visit archives in Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire and Bedfordshire. In addition I am prepared to travel further afield to repositories such as the National Archives. Of course the internet is now widely used in genealogy research and I will make full use of all sources available.

But our ancestors did not live in isolation. As a genealogist and local historian, see my About me page, it is a particular interest of mine to place our ancestors in the context of both national and local events.
